Saudi Arabia's hotels range from palace-style city landmarks in Riyadh and Jeddah to tented desert villas in AlUla and overwater retreats on the Red Sea. Where you stay matters, because distances are large: most travellers combine two or three bases rather than one. Below are well-established places to stay, grouped by city. We do not list prices, which swing sharply with the season, the Riyadh Season calendar, Ramadan and the pilgrimage periods. Use the buttons to check current rates and availability on Booking.com, and read our guide to where to stay in Saudi Arabia to choose your areas.

Comparing and booking
It pays to compare. Check rates on Booking.com with the buttons above, or look at hotel-and-flight deals on Trip.com. Before you pay, check whether breakfast, the municipality tax and VAT are included, and read the cancellation terms. For AlUla and the Red Sea, ask how transfers work: some resorts include them, others charge separately. Then plan your arrival with our airport transfer guide, and if you are touring by road, see car hire in Saudi Arabia.
Frequently asked questions
Can unmarried couples share a hotel room in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. Since the tourist visa was introduced in 2019, foreign visitors, including unmarried couples, can share a room, and women can check in on their own. Bring your passport for check-in.
Do hotels in Saudi Arabia serve alcohol?
No. Alcohol is not served in hotels or restaurants for visitors. Expect fresh juices, mocktails, Saudi coffee and excellent speciality coffee instead.
Where should I stay for the Red Sea resorts?
You stay at the resort itself. Fly to Red Sea International Airport, usually via Riyadh or Jeddah, and the resort arranges the car, boat or seaplane transfer, which may cost extra.
